About a dozen students from the Stephen Austin High School Science Club got a peek at some of the university’s most cutting-edge research labs during a visit to the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

The February tour was arranged with the help of the NSM Alumni Association. The students visited the Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling, a centerpiece of UH’s health medical research initiative housed in the state-of-the-art Science and Engineering Research Center.

They also met with faculty from the physics and biology and biochemistry departments who discussed their work and advised the students how to prepare for a career in science.
