NSM Alumni Association Hosts Dinner, Vineyard Tour
The Natural Sciences and Mathematics Alumni Association will be sponsoring a dinner and wine tasting next week and invites NSM alumni to attend.

The event will feature Ioannis Kakadiaris, Eckhard Pfeiffer Professor of Computer Science at the University of Houston, as the guest speaker. Kakadiaris is the founder and director of UH’s Computational Biomedicine Lab.

In his presentation, "A Look into Your Heart", Kakadiaris will discuss new computational tools that can analyze data from cardiovascular imaging to identify people with a high likelihood of having a heart attack in the near future.

Kakadiaris has won numerous awards for his research and teaching, and his work has been featured in several news outlets.

The dinner will be held April 5 at Haak Vineyards, 6310 Avenue T in Santa Fe, Texas. The event begins at 6 p.m.

The gathering will include an Italian dinner, a wine tasting and a tour of the vineyards. Tickets are $20 per person.
