Computer Science on Display at Frontier Fiesta
Alums, students and visitors are invited to take a peek at cutting-edge technology from the University of Houston’s computer science department during Frontier Fiesta this week.

CougarCS, an organization of computer science students, will host a booth at UH’s annual extravaganza that will showcase projects and interactive displays highlighting the department’s most exciting research.

The displays at the CougArcade booth will underscore the breadth of computer science work at UH – from video games to facial recognition technology. In addition to playing with high-tech gadgets, visitors can meet other computer science alums and students.

“It’s a great opportunity to get in touch with computer science alums and students and to learn about the latest computer research at UH,” said Melissa Young, an officer with CougarCS.

The booth will be at the Fiesta City festival near Robertson Stadium on Friday, March 27 (4 p.m.-midnight) and Saturday, March 28 (11 a.m.-midnight). For more information on other activities at the festival and for directions, visit http://www.uh.edu/fiesta/
